Adidas Samba OG
The Adidas Samba, one of the oldest models from the brand, originated on European soccer fields in 1949, with the aim of improving players' performance on icy grounds during winter.
Its name was a result of a marketing strategy by the company, as Brazil was set to host the World Cup in 1950, prompting Adidas to name the shoe "Samba" in honor of the iconic Brazilian music genre.
Since then, the model has undergone various adaptations and has become an urban fashion icon, used in a variety of sports.

CARE
When it’s time to wash your sneakers, keep these tips in mind.
RIGHT
- Clean excess dirt: Use an old toothbrush with soft bristles to remove dust from the surface, taking care not to scratch the material.
- Water and soap: Use a cloth with a bit of eco-friendly detergent and hot water to gently scrub away surface stains on the fabric.
- Remove soap: Rinse the cloth with hot water and wipe the same areas to remove detergent.
- Dry the sneakers: To dry, leave them at room temperature with paper towels or newspaper inside to absorb moisture.
- Laces: Wash or replace the laces.
- Air out insoles: Remove insoles during cleaning to eliminate odors. If the smell is very strong, add a small amount of baking soda.
WRONG
- Putting the sneakers in the washing machine. This can discolor and damage the fabric.
- Placing them behind the refrigerator or near heaters. To ensure there are no changes in the shape of the sneakers, it’s best to dry them at room temperature.
- Using alternative cleaning products, including chemicals and bleach.
These are some tips to keep your sneakers looking new.
